HTCIA Members Webinar Series
HTCIA Webinar Series – I See You – An Introduction to Recon-NG
We are pleased to present the third webinar in our members-only training on April 29, 2014 from 10:00am – 11:30am PST.
Whether it’s a white hat performing a penetration test or a black hat looking to steal confidential data, reconnaissance is usually the first step. Profiling the client/victim can help identify potential social engineering targets, define infrastructure, tune password cracking tools, or even discover passwords. And thanks primarily to social media, there are now much easier ways to gather this information than dumpster diving. But just how easy? And how much information is actually out there for the taking? This presentation will introduce you to Recon-ng, a tool that provides a framework for open source web-based reconnaissance. We’ll look at some of its capabilities, and more importantly, what this means for your personal security and that of your organization.
