Wireshark Forensic Features Updates (v3.6 Release)

Wireshark is a valued tool for network forensics – and the new version of Wireshark has some interesting features to help identify indications of compromise. In this session, Laura will highlight the drag-and-drop feature, demonstrate the new TCP completeness filter, highlight VoIP playback improvements, and review the new ability to read Event Tracing for Windows (ETW) files. We may be working on the Development Build if a stable release is not available before this presentation date.

Laura Chappell is a well-known Wireshark and TCP/IP communications analyst, author, and creator of the original Wireshark Certified Network Analyst (WCNA) program. Her customers include international Fortune 500 businesses, local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies. Laura is also a long-time member of the HTCIA Silicon Valley chapter.

Lastly, our speaker for December 9th will be Kirby Plessas! More to come later for what she will be talking about.

We will get a link sent out to you in a reminder email. Any questions feel free to reach out to us!
