Committees
Governance Committee
Assists IEC on governance matters affecting organizational effectiveness such as reviewing and providing recommendations for updating the governing documents (bylaws and policies and procedures) and serves as the panel for the review of member misconduct and disciplinary issues.
Marketing and Communications Committee
Assists the IEC on organizational marketing and brand identification. They provide support and recommendations on items such as the website, social media, electronic marketing, print materials, publications, pop-up banners, giveaway items, and director for e-commerce.
Chapter Management and Support Committee
Assists the IEC and staff on providing general operational support and resources to our chapter officers. Resources may include a chapter officer support guide, an electronic portal for easy access to resources, and support in the chapter life cycle process (viability, creation, suspensions, and dissolution).
Training and Certification Committee
Assists the IEC on the development of an HTCIA certification and/or credential as well as the development of potential training programs available to members and non-members.
Finance Committee
Supports the IEC Treasurer ensures the Association is being fiscally responsible through regular review of the monthly financial statements. They assist in the review of all financial-related processes and provide recommendations for improvement.
Membership and Student Outreach Committee
Supports the IEC in the development of strategies to recruit and retain members, and outreach to academia, professors, students, and retired members. They review current membership categories and requirements and provide recommendations for improvement.
Corporate Partnership Committee
Assists the IEC and staff in the development and review of the levels/benefits, solicitation of potential partners, and tracking of current/past/potential corporate partners.
Technology Management Committee
Assists the IEC and staff in the review of existing technology and proposed new technology. They provide administrative level support for current technologies (website, LMS, AMS, Google Workspace, Listserv, etc.).
